On March 2, 2017 in Rapperswil, a new meeting of the Polish Professionals in Switzerland was held, organized in cooperation with the Polish Museum in Rapperswil. Our presence was honoured by, among others, J.E. Mr. Jakub Kumoch, Ambassador of the Department of Trade and Investment Promotion at the Polish Embassy in Bern, Dr. Zbigniew Kostecki, and representatives and staff of the museum as well as Polish organizations in Switzerland.

The theme of the event: “Art of Business” was the subject of combining art and business. During the official part of the meeting, Director Anna Buchmann presented many interesting facts about the Museum, the Ambassador expressed his positive opinions about the association and active Poles in Switzerland, Dr. Zbigniew Kostecki mentioned the work of WPHiI and Łukasz Syrnik and Agnes Nowicki described goals and PPS’s intentions for the future and the management of the organization.
The official part of the meeting also included two interesting presentations on the establishment, development and running of companies involved in the arts. The first one, presented by Mr. Norbert Roztocki, concerned issues of sculpture, design and applied art. In an interesting way, he presented the passion-born company Moveonart.

Then Mr. Sebastian Uszyński talked about his cello career and about the Vier Jahreszeiten Riehen festival created for the love of music, of which he is the founder and the artistic director, as well as about the company BelSuono. The participants could listen to the songs of Suite No. 1 G-Dur für Cello Solo by J. S. Bach and Caprice Nr. 7 by A. Piatti performed by the speaker.
After the rounds of questions and exchanges, Mr. Jakub Kumoch, Ambassador of Poland, invited all present guests of the PPS to celebrate the 3rd of May at the Embassy.
Traditionally, the networking part has been a great opportunity to deepen our knowledge of business, to gain new knowledge and to exchange experiences.

Due to the fact that previous events of this type have proved to be a great success, and the subject matter of the next is of great interest, the Association of Polish Professionals in Switzerland attracts more and more participants.

This is the reason why the Ambassador invited the PPS to the next meeting which will take place on the 8th of June 2017 at the Polish embassy in Bern. We gather and invite you to submit your proposal by March 24th and we will be in touch for details in the coming weeks.

We would like to thank Mrs. Annie Buchmann and all the staff of the museum for their hospitality and help in organizing the event, and all the participants of the meeting for their arrival.
